Review | Glossier Haloscope Highlighter in Topaz and Quartz

Holy shit. Glossier achieved it. Anytime something becomes ubiquitous in the beauty world Glossier will coyly drop a nice rebuttal that always feels like an answered prayer. In a sea of dipbrow pomade and carved eyebrows, there was clearly Boy Brow. When you couldnt spit without hitting a tube of liquid to matte lipstick, there was Generation G. (Oh, and stickers. Mustn't neglect the stickers.) In the tizzy of highlighters, they subversively dropped the Haloscope on an otherwise uneventful Monday. Some time relating to the announcement email and my order confirmation were hairsbredth apart.

The Haloscope ($22) is a cream highlight which will come in a twist-up tube. The casing is unfussy: white and plastic. If you were very far-sighted, you might confuse them for any glue stick. There are two shades: Topaz and Quartz. Topaz is really a warm midtone gold and Quartz is a cool pale orchid pink. Much like the Skin Tint, these come with ACTUAL CRYSTALS. (Its on the ingredients list!) My precious.

What sets this option apart is because they feature a balm core. This assists sheer the product or service out and supplies moisture on the skin instead of just shimmer so you turn out dewy, not merely reflective. I swatched each on the back of me that i'm staring at them even as I write this. With thanks to the balm, they slide on skin with no tugging. Theyre understated with out a single trace of glitter. I tapped them out and marveled at how even Quartz (a shade I figured would come off as ashen in my bosc pear colored complexion) looked bright and inoffensive. Topaz blended out just like an Instagram filter or thin layer of tumeric, adding sunset warmth to skin. No ruddiness, either. I felt signs and symptoms of early-onset gout from your persistent rotating of my wrist capture the sunlight.

Blend these out with your fingertips so the heat can help it melt in your skin. Dont worry about setting them powder, either. You desire it to take a look humid. Besides the usual cheekbone and brow bone, swipe some in your bare lids, on the earlobes if your hair is up, plus your collarbones as garnish. Haloscope can be a pleasant accessory for any low-maintenance folks daily routine. Is it probably the most pigmented highlighter? Not by a long shot. But, that's kind of the actual. The nation's form of simplicity where you could use it in complete darkness, if you ever find yourself within a tourist cavern after hours. If the Skin Fetish is perfect for ac people, the Haloscope is definitely for windows-open people. And, boy, does that breeze feel good.
